Los Angeles band Thee Sixpence formed in 1966-67 and consisted of Ed King (lead guitar, vocals), Mark Weitz (keyboards, vocals), Lee Freeman (rhythm guitar, harmonica, vocals), Gary Lovetro (bass), and Gene Gunnels (drums). They later found far more fame when they were rechristened Strawberry Alarm Clock and released super selling single Incense and Peppermints in 1967, although initially this was a Thee Sixpence composition.
