Drangsal (Tribulation) is the stage name of German singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Max Gruber. His music shows influences from various genres, including new wave , post-punk and indie pop.
Drangsal first got the attention by being chosen as opening act for famous German band Kraftklub in 2015.
In 2016 he released his first single on vinyl for Record Store Day 2016 ("Will Ich Nur Dich / Zur Blauen Stunde", 7") followed by the release of the first album called "Harieschaim" (which is the old name of his home town Herxheim) on CD and vinyl (April 22nd). The album was produced by Markus Ganter, who previously worked as a producer for artists like Sizarr, Casper or Tocotronic.
