This might just be the most touching and relevant album lyrically that I've heard in a long time. It somehow gains more impact with every new listen, amazing...

So genre defying it's classifiably avant-garde. Thoroughly awesome, I wish more post-hardcore was like this!

This album is the culmination of all things Enter Shikari. It was mentioned that they used an x-y graph to choose the albums songs; it shows. There's a wide variety here, from the touching ballad "Dear Future Historians..." to the thrashy "There's a Price on Your Head" with Eastern-style strings; the accessible yet powerful "Torn Apart" to the groove-rock "The Bank of England"; the frantic intro and outro songs...it's better than Take to the Skies by far.

First, I will say my opinion on this album has changed drastically in 5 years (it's my second least listened these days) and I've also matured much more since then lmao. Second, to address your question, Shikari plotted the demos they had written for The Mindsweep on an x-y graph where one axis represented how accessible/poppy they were and the other with how heavy they were. It's not as mind-blowing as 18 year old me would have had you believe.

если кто-то ожидал альбом со звучанием как у предыдущих, и расстроен этим альбомом, то слушайте никельбека, неизменного с 1962 года

I really like it so far. Some songs took away few listens, but I'm glad every album sounds different from the last.

Honestly, this is probably my least favorite album by them. There's only really two songs besides the singles that really grab my attention. And this is coming from a hardcore Shikari fan.
