New album instrumentally is pretty damn good, the choruses on all these songs are sadly pretty boring though :/

The new album is so disappointing. This may be the first ETF album I was bored with from beginning to end. This new guitarist just sounds more watered down than Thrasher with less versatility. At least the albums they did since Ungrateful had some bangers in them. Really wish the Money Brothers would rejoin the band instead and work shit out with Craig instead of having guitarists that make the band sound more generic than ever.

Ngl I'm sorta glad Kevin thrasher is no longer in ETF. He sounded so damn good in lovehatehero but turned Escape the Fate into more of a radio rock rendition of how the money brothers sound, which wasn't bad but also wasn't great. I hope these two new members can bring more life back into this band.

There's No Sympathy For The Dead and Dying Is Your Latest Fashion are 2 amazing records but good lord I can't fucking stand Ronnie as a person. Perfect example of a talented individual who just wastes it all on being a bad person. So glad Craig has been the vocalist since 2008.

I gotta say this war is ours. Solid blend of their more hard rock stuff while still having some of their post-hardcore/metalcore roots.

Agreed. After This War is Ours I'd say Ungrateful after that followed by the self titled. Ungrateful sounded more post-hardcore and melodic whiich I liked and self titled gave this glam rock/grungy/dark vibe that wasn't the same before or since. I don't even mind the ones after. Their latest album is super bad though to where i'm surprised how boring it was.

I could not agree with you more. It blows my mind how Ronnie can be such a dick and Craig has been way more benevolent but everyone still praises Ronnie and acts like Craig doesn't exist. The fact that it hasn't evened out at this point blows my mind tbh. Only exception seems to be the top charts. It's even between Ronnie and Craig and at one point that was not the case.

Kinda stink how some of you keep coming back over and over just to be mad ugly here. rotten vibes, you know! while the rest of us are having so much fun because ETF rocks but your completely bland opinion sucks! ( ˘ ³˘)♡ Can't wait for the new album! Craig was hinting that TJ might join on some vocals, particularly scream parts. F yeah!!! Stay mad 'all!

i've tried my dude its just craig's vocals i never got into, didnt like his album with BTF either. but the music has always been good, the musicians that have come and gone and been fine, but nothing ever interested me to really get into it, just not for me. but im glad you dig that one album!

Everything up to Ungrateful is great, with or without Ronnie. Once Monte left it was over, it's a shame he's the egotistical asshole he always made Ronnie out to be.

I don't mind the stuff since Ungrateful. I think each album has a couple bangers in each, but besides that I agree. TJ and Thrasher are totally capable of doing what the Money Brothers can do and so much more and they've shown it in their past bands; especially Thrasher with Lovehatehero (hear the song To The End and you'll get exactly what I mean). I also think the label changes have a big thing to do with it. Think about how they changed after their current label, and now Asking Alexandria happens to sound similar and are now on the same label. If they can make a universe where Asking Alexandria and Escape the Fate sound similar, you know the label has to do with it somehow.

Chemical Warfare is growing on me more as I listen to it over time. It's not by any means their best album in fact i'd say it's my least favorite but I still do enjoy it. I hope one day for a This War Is Ours Pt 2 Vibe of an album that's def my favorite one with Craig on vocals.

I'm worried that as long as they stick to their current label and lineup that I don't see that happening even though I couldn't agree with you more. They seem to keep thinking the radio rock vibe is what they should be doing. Oh well. At least we have The Dead Rabbitts, Craig's side project, which honestly has made solid bangers from when they started imho.

new single is so amazing, this band is doing smart things. Maintaining their sound while also giving it that radio rock catchiness. Keeps you replaying the song

Honestly I’d consider them pop punk or emo pop or just straight up rock. They sound a hell of a lot more like early Fall out Boy or MCR than post- hardcore to me.

It really depends on the album. If we're talking anything after This War is Ours then yes I completely agree. They have grown to a very much a rock sound. If we're talking about their first two albums, then I gotta give a hard disagree on that one. A lot of the melodic and rock moments really give it that post-hardcore definition that it has at the time. Plus, you only listen to Situations according to your profile. They have way more talent than Situations and many songs that give way better post-hardcore examples both on Dying is Your Latest Fashion and This War is Ours imho.

Really? There's still Ronnie images being default. Jesus christ guys. It's been 12 years since Craig joined the band. This Ronnie/Craig debate is long old news. Craig has Escape the Fate and Dead Rabbitts (a band that's better than anything he's ever done) and Falling in Reverse has evolved beautifully especially with Just Like You and Coming Home. Don't get me wrong, I like both and Dying is Your Latest Fashion is a masterpiece, but so have the releases since. This arguement needs to drop. If you can't see BOTH Ronnie and Craig as talent, then maybe this band isn't for you. They both showed their worth an both deserve credit at this point.

I am almost 21. I went in and out from the skramzcave and stated back this is one of the best records ever put out. It is one of the few cds I have. I also have no regrets about this.
