Only took me over a decade to get into this album. I was so into Stabbing The Drama at the time Sworn didn't do anything for me. A grower for sure.

This record brings me a lot of memories. It was one of the first Soilwork CDs I bought (the other one was their 1998 debut), and it was around the time of its release that I actually discovered them. Never found it to be "weak" as many people said, but they followed a more melodic approach to the sound they were playing in the two previous records. Speed's vocals were also on prime on this album, and the cover artwork is still my favorite in their entire discography.

Decent album overall... but has a lot of metalcore rather than their melodeath sound I love

I may be a bit biased as this was the very first Soilwork album I ever bought, but it is definitely my favorite of all their work.

RIffRaff86 - this is my favourite album of Soilwork ;) It is just far from my melodeath love :) Metalcore is really good genre but... melodeath is another level.

My favourite Soilwork album. I like everything: riffs, melodies, vocals, and production. Soilwork at their best.

i think this album really fucking rules from a songwriting standpoint, but the production is really a step-down from the powerful, punchy sound on Stabbing The Drama. I think STD, in contrast, doesn't flow as well as this one, and feels more like a collection of songs, some of which are really poor (wtf is Fate in Motion supposed to be. also If Possible, what the hell guys), but which has excellent production as mentioned.

The first Soilwork album I bought. Even though I now have some of their older albums, I still like this quite a bit. Even if they have incorporated alternative metal/metalcore elements into their style, they've done it much better than many other bands. Looking forward to their new album!

I don't really know.. somehow the tracks aren't as catchy as the other albums' ones. =)

Well, I personally think all the other albums kick this one's ass, but it's still listenable.
