"We’re back! The time has come for a new Solution .45 album; an album we are currently halfway through demoing and which lyrically will shed light on the vast scope of darknesses absorbing our lives, often when we least expect it - the soul mutations that make us human, if you will! The new album will be mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Vola, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Evergrey, Aborted) in late 2023/early 2024 and it will once again be released via AFM Records"

But they replaced him with two guys. Why couldn't they just add one clean guy to him instead?

Dude, I still think the Demo version of 'Clandestiny Now' is better than the album version.

Reached out to Christian through facebook and asked if there was any news on a new Solution .45 record, or any hopes of a new album coming. He unfortunately answered 'Not at this time.' :(

Really loving how part 2 is more symphonic metal tinged, the new albums are awesome with a slight expectations shift. It definitely feels proggier than For Aeons Past, at the least. Maybe that aspect of it makes the hooks less immediate for most, but it just adds replay value for me.

I was too quick to dismiss Nightmares in the Waking State I, the added cyber metal/djent (seriously, some moments recall Sybreed's finest moments!) and further orchestral touches really give it a great atmosphere and replace the first album's chugs with more interesting rhythms. It's not as immediate for sure, but I may actually come to prefer this over For Aeons Past. Always a pleasant surprise when you enjoy something more on revisiting it. This more atmospheric style is fantastic too!

Well, while "Nightmares In The Waking State: Part I" is a damn fine (modern) Melodic Death Metal album, Part II sounds like recycling of it at best. In my opinion it's pretty bland and thus I didn't need this double album stuff at all. One album would've done the trick also but hindsight is always easier than foresight, right?

German review for the new album online at metal4.de. "Nightmares In The Waking State Part II" gets 8,5 out of 10! http://www.metal4.de/review/solution-45-nightmares-in-the-waking-state-part-ii/

For Aeons Past was better than both Nightmare Parts I and II combined. New albums feel like they lack that something extra the first had.

As a djent fan, wtf are you guys talking about!? This album is not djent, at all. It's also pretty poor compared to the first one. Not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but still pretty disappointing. The latest SS album is also pretty lame for the record. Losing Jonas seems to have had more of a negative impact than losing Christian did if you ask me. DMD and TUE were still awesome but they've become too soft and cheesy now.

Not a huge fan of Djent but Scar Symmetry does it well and Solution .45 nails it perfectly with Nightmare In The Waking State. Never thought Djent would sound so good!

New album sounds way too similar to Scar Symmetry material with it's djent stuff, but it's great though imo.

I would have known Solution .45 came out with a new album if last.fm wasn't udderly destroyed lol.
