It's a beautiful, somewhat awkward moment when your musical tastes evolve to the point that your opinion of this album goes from " fun, zany novelty music that doesn't take itself too seriously" to "fun, zany novelty music that doesn't take itself too seriously yet still manages to be one of the best things ever recorded." Does this mean your tastes have gotten better? Have they gotten worse? Who gives a shit, all that's certain is your musical rotation is about to get a LOT more fun.

I just discovered this and it feels like finding an "Animals" by Pink Floyd or "We're only in it for the Money" by the Mothers - Absolutely phenomenal. Thank you Last.FM!

has no right to be as good at it is, but this is a '90s prog rock/art rock classic that delivers like no other.

RIP to the creator of the best homage that any god-like album could ever ask for. So glad he choose this album out of all of them in the world.

May well be the best album of the 90s in my estimation. Every song here is great. It's like some sort of prog-folk album with a nautical theme filtered through the unique sensibilities of the Ween boys. I remember some fans being angry when it came out because "it's not funny." Their loss -- Ween was never a "joke" band, and to reduce them to that is an insult to their amazing musicianship and songcraft.

Started listening to this album at Ocean City MD because I heard its a great "nautical" album. Anyway after a day at the beach I finished getting ready for the night and waited for a girl. friend. to do the same. I sat on the deck for an hour waiting for her I finished the album, drank almost half a bottle of captain morgan and fell in love. With the album of course.
