Abbreviation of Musical Instrument Digital Interface, the basic technology for most of computer-generated music. Most often used to refer to amateur music obviously created using cheap equipment or software, resulting in a somewhat poor sound quality. Also used by those melancholics who play tunes from the computer games of long ago.
